A carved gatepost at a house called Throstle Nest on Keighley Road

Some nice Victorian architectural details on Keighley Road

I stood for ages watching this chap (a Roe Deer) munching away on this thick vegetation on Clough Lane

Rhododendrons and Iris in an old ornamental pond in what was originally a stone quarry before becoming part of the gardens of Oakworth House

Stinging nettles on Race Moor Lane

A selection of flowers from today's walk

Race Moor Lane

A shame to see this old iron gate has been removed, although the hinge end has rotted away

Another game of Hunt The Footpath.

Maybe the shorts were a bad idea. I got well and truly nettled, soaked and bitten coming up there

It's nice to see the phone box preserved and repurposed as a seed exchange

Birds foot trefoil

Yep, it's another quarry

A very old gate post, designed to have a couple of rails slotted in, rather than an actual gate.

The

This tree on Cat Clough was absolutely covered with webs spun by ermine moth caterpillars. I'd never seen anything like it before.
